AI that stays on the machine

A product team needed AI utilities for customers who refuse to upload docs and images to someone else's GPU.

Useful AI without the trust leap.

The miss

Their users were lawyers, clinics, and ops folks who would never paste client files into a hosted chatbot. Off-the-shelf AI tools assumed cloud. The business was stuck offering 'AI features' their best customers wouldn't touch.

What we did

  1. 01

We shipped the models into the browser. Background removal, summarization, conversion, and chat ran locally where we could make them fast enough.

  2. 02

No signup wall. No 'your file is processing on our servers.' Open the page, use the tool, close the tab.

  3. 03

Where chat mattered, WebGPU kept the conversation on-device so nothing left the machine.

What shipped

  • Suite of browser-native AI utilities with no upload path
  • Local chat runtime for private conversations
  • Clear product story: the model comes to you
  • Fast paths for the jobs people actually do weekly

After

The skeptical customers finally tried the AI features. Support tickets about 'where does my file go' dropped. The team got a wedge into regulated workflows without pretending cloud risk was fine.
